BRAs of the Bay

Event Description

Plastic Surgery & Skin Specialists by BayCare Clinic will host the 8th annual BRAs of the Bay. The event seeks to raise awareness about breast reconstruction rights and raises funds to support those in the community who have received a breast cancer diagnosis.

Federal law mandates coverage of breast reconstruction for most breast cancer patients, even if the reconstruction is delayed until after cancer treatment is completed.

The event is designed to help “close the loop” on breast cancer and will feature an informational discussion, hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, and a silent auction.

In our local effort to raise awareness, we’ve also invited Green Bay-area businesses and individuals to decorate bras for the event. The decorated bras will be on display at the event, and category winners will be announced that evening.

Proceeds from BRAs of the Bay, with additional support from the BayCare Clinic Foundation, the Plastic Surgery Foundation, and Plastic Surgery & Skin Specialists by BayCare Clinic, will benefit the Ribbon of Hope Foundation and the national Breast Reconstruction Awareness Day initiative.

Money donated to the Ribbon of Hope Foundation stays in the community to help provide emotional, financial, and educational support to patients diagnosed with and treated for breast cancer in Brown and Kewaunee Counties.
